Recommended Parking We strongly recommend simply pulling into the closest available parking garage, taking a parking ticket, and parking there for your appointment. Our office is located in a historic building that is over 100 years old and does not have its own dedicated parking garage. Therefore: We do not validate parking. Parking costs vary by garage and event activity in Uptown Charlotte. You will typically pay upon exiting the garage. Important Tips Do not lose your parking ticket. Due to appointment demand and limited scheduling capacity, incomplete applications cannot be processed.

However, many applicants still require a formal Name Declaration before a passport can be issued.

A passport in the new name generally cannot be issued until the Name Declaration has been approved by the responsible German authority.
